Case Number 158:
This charming woman in her early 50's from Sacramento was self-conscious about the size of her breasts. She also had symptoms from her macromastia (the medical term for large breasts)... specifically, neck and back pain.
She underwent a breast reduction procedure and during the course of this 3 hour operation, about 1 pound of tisse was removed from each side. The resulting shape was improved and her symptoms of neck and back discomfort were also considerably improved. The technical term for the operation is an inferior pedicle, wise pattern breast reduction.
She had no complications and a relatively easy recovery from surgery. After photos shown here are at four months following surgery.
