Meet Sacramento Plastic Surgeon Dr. Clark
Dr. Christa Clark has an extensive background that includes training at some of the top medical schools in the United States plus additional fellowship training and surgical experience. Women seeking a highly-skilled, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon have taken advantage of Dr. Clark's skills for several years since she relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area to enter private practice here in Folsom.
Dr. Clark's interests include a very wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. She finds all types of breast surgery very satisfying, from reconstruction to breast augmentation. Education and Honors
Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Clark opted to attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She graduated with two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in English Literature and one in Economics. She was accepted to medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, where she received her M.D. with high distinction, graduating in the top ten of her class.
After medical school, Dr. Clark was chosen to perform a combined general surgery/plastic surgery residency at Stanford University Medical School in California. After completing the program, she had the honor of being selected for advanced fellowship training with Dr. John Q. Owsley. Working with him in San Francisco gave Dr. Clark additional experience in cosmetic surgery with particular emphasis on facial procedures.
Giving to Others
Dr. Clark finds it very satisfying to use her skills to help improve the lives of others, whether she's working with a woman seeking breast augmentation in Sacramento or a child with a cleft palate in a developing country. Like Dr. Kaufman, she has been a part of medical missions to countries like Guatemala and Haiti, contributing her services to children and adults suffering disfigurement as a result of a birth defect or an accident. Her care gives these patients new hope for a normal life filled with work and family.
Dr. Clark and her husband, James, are very happily settled in Sacramento. Along with their young daughter, they enjoy the many outdoor activities the region has to offer.
