Breast Lift - With or Without Implants
There are many factors to consider when having a breast lift in Sacramento. One is whether to add volume with implants. A breast lift without implants tends to result in breasts with the volume positioned somewhat inferiorly - meaning rather low. For many patients there isn't a reliable way to create lasting superior fullness - volume at the top of the breasts - without implants. For women with volume loss and sagginess, implants are usually the right choice. Patients with very full, firm breasts may be able to achieve their desired outcome without implants.
The decision as to whether to get implants at the same time as a breast lift takes some consideration. When Dr. Kaufman and Dr. Clark perform breast lifts, they reduce excess skin and reposition breast volume. Adding implants can seem counterintuitive! Therefore, some feel that doing both at the same time is a bad idea. Others believe that staging the operation, meaning planning to place implants in a second procedure, isn't appropriate. Generally, Dr. Kaufman and Dr. Clark feel that simultaneous breast lift and implant placement is a good approach for those who have droopy tissue and want youthful, perky breasts with fullness on top. For women with very saggy breasts or significant asymmetry, it may be safest to plan a two-stage procedure.
Should you elect to have a breast lift without breast augmentation in Sacramento and want to have larger breasts or more volume at the top down the road, it's possible to choose breast implants at a later date.
